i had a coral beauty in my 29G and it nipped only at my feather dusters so i pulled it out and now have a flame angel in their and she is doing great. My LFS told me their there is a chance that any may nip at corals but may not.
ps. the flame looks great in their. very nice colors
What size tank do you have? There are a few angels that are not really dwarf angels that are reef safe and will work in tanks of 75gal or larger. For example G. Semifasciatus (Japanese swallotail angelfish) grows to about 8", or G. Watanabei (Watanabe's Angelfish) grows to about 5 - 6". They may be hard to find and a little high priced though. My LFS just had a watanabe's last week.
my tank size is 46 bow, but it is stocked w/ probably at least 100lbs of rock so it is probably more like a 38. then again, i do have a 10g sump, so figure that in too.
it's the luck of the draw really. most angels are nippers to corals and corals alike. i would suggest the cherub or thelemon peel they are the least likely candidates to pick on them. some people get lucky when it comes to coral beauty's and flames but i also know people that they are destroying their corals
