Reef lighting

I just set up a 125 reef and have 6 X 96 PC retro in the canopy which gives me 4.6 WPG which I don't think is enough if I want to add SPS corals. I can get 3 X 175 MH retro kit to also fit in the canopy, the question is will this be too much light fot the soft corals I currently have? Any help will be greatly appreciated. :help:

NO it wont be too much, there will be places in your tank you can put them where there not directly under the MH, save those spots for hard corals or clams. but it wont be too much, you could also look into running your 4 , 96 watts morning time then mhs daytime then back to your 96 watts evening time, give them a dusk to dawn effect. that would be nice. goodluck
