Is there such a fish?...anyone have any experience with one and if so...what kind? I would like to one to my tank but almost everything I read says not reef safe.
they say none are reef safe. ive had a copperband butterfly in my reef. no problems. ive had a raccoon butterfly in my reef. no problems. ive had a banner fish (idk how to spell the name of it) in my tank. no problems. but i hear its just luck sometimes

Heniochus (only one kind) are supposed to be. Anything else is a gamble like angels IMO.

Heniochus diphreutes...be careful when getting them, there is a very close fish, the Heniochus acuminatus
i'm going to have a school in my large tank
From what I have heard, read, and experienced, the Copperband butterfly is the most reef-safe of them all. Be careful though because they have a very high mortality rate. They do best in larger aquariums.

I'm pretty sure flame angels are. They look just like butterflys.
Its really a hit or miss with flame angels. Some are reef safe and some aren't.
