Reef Safe? Conflicting opinions

I have been asking shops and others that I know if the following are reef safe:
Hawk fish
Sailfin Tang
I'd be interested to hear your input from your experience or what others say. Some tell me yes, some tell me no.
Also, I have been told that you can't keep other Tangs in with a yellow tang. Is this common knowledge as well?

i have a flame hwak in my reef hes great just make sure shrimp are in tank before him also i have a purple tang blue hippo tang and yellwo tank in my tank if the yellow is not i tank yet put it in last they ywlloe tends to

e a little mean if they are in there first
if you dont have a lot of rock you can move it around to thorw him off good luck and rember its all a hit and miss with fish

both fish are reef safe.
you can keep another tang in a tank with a yellow, on 2 conditions:
1. you need to add them at the same time
2. there must be a fairly large tank for 2 tangs (6 ft or more)
