I know the chocolate chip isn't reef safe. Not too sure about the bahama star

ive never tried, ill check into it, also my girlfriend doesnt want to get rid of the chocolate chip star, he is very small, would he be a big problem? ive never seen him on a coral before so, do you think its possible?

well yeah just try and talk to her...if u do keep it make sure to feed it to reduce the chances of it eating ur corals and keep a close eye on it

yea i know that it wouldnt be a problem when it comes down to food, i feed them algae sheets once a week, the chocolate chip stays there until its gone

feathered starfish = reef safe!!!
Research before you buy hard to care for but providing it oyster eggs increases its survival rate.

I am not sure what experience level you are at, but if you are 'seasoned' enough and your tank is pretty mature, then you can try keeping a red fromia star. They stay small, are totally reef safe and they are a very vibrant red color.
They look great and are a great addition if you know what you're doing. DO NOT underestimate that level of experience needed to keep this star though. I see a lot of them die. I have even killed a few myself. :0(
