Reef Safe

I wanted to buy from swf but, not exactly sure what reef safe meant? Can someone explain to me, I do have corrals and snails but thats it. we have a dwarf lion we bought from a lfs and they told me it would be okay, but here it states not reef safe. HELP. :help:

Reef safe means whether it can go with corals and inverts. Dwarf lions are "reef safe" but they are not "invert safe". They will not touch a coral, however, a shrimp is a quick dinner. Some people consider them not reef safe because you cannot keep them with typical reef inhabitants, such as shrimp.
A puffer or trigger is "not reef safe" because it will tear through corals, inverts, etc.
If there is a fish in question, just ask.

Reef safe means what ever you buy wont hurt, kill, or mame. Anythting in your tank, such as Corals or your clean up crew. But mainly its your corals, soft or hard. Good luck!
p.s. you can always ask around here , if things are reaf safe or not, there are diffreent opinions and some things will say reef say with caution!! Ask around with those!
