I know it is not a Falco, but I have a Flame, and he is awesome. He never picks on anyone or any corals. I do not have any shrimp, so I can not answer that.

I have a falco and am converting my FOWLR into a reef now. I have had this guy for awhile now. They are perfectly fine in a reef but I would not recommend shrimp, being that is part of their natural diet. Falco's do have a problem with any fish added after them, but do not mind anything that is already in there. I once had to remove a falco from the tank at my store because he was harassing a barbershop goby. When I put him back in he paid no attention to the goby even though he could have easily swallowed him whole. They are truely awsome fish

Are they in the same tank? If so, what sized tank?

Both are in my 180. They often perch very close to each other and seem to get along. Never have shown any aggression towards one another.

Did you get them both at the same time? I could not love my falco more if I tried. I wanted another hawk but my current tank is too small I think. It is a 55 that I am working on turning into a reef. I qt'd my falco for well over a month. When I put him into the display he was alone. He used to get his momentum up and speed through the rock, while turning quite red, looking for whomever he thought was in the tank with him
He is just too adorable!

I am planning on maroons to go in with my falco. They get larger than other breeds of clowns and will not be bullied as easily. They are tough acting little fish.

I don't think that I asked; What sized tank do you have?

No skinny and long fish. Stay away from those fish. You could get any kind of clown, besides a maroon *wink*. Do you like Coral Beauty Angels? They are beautifull! They have so much color and will not be bothered by the hawk. Stay away from wrassies and gobies (smaller ones anyway). If you move him to a semi-permanent qt with a nice piece of LR or two, then you could stock your tank with whatever smaller fish that you may want. Then put him back in, then introduce the larger ones.

well i was planning on having some corals and i didnt want the angel to pick on them. but how about this list. falco hawkfish, marron clownfish, valentini puffer. but i am also kinda wopried about the puffer picking at corals, but i think if i keep him well feed he shouldnt be a problem.
