Reef Tank Lighting?

I'm setting up a 90 gal reef tank and wanted your advice on minimum lighting that will support a coral or two and some mushrooms. Any assist will be appreciated. Thanks!

Either 7-8 54w T5ho from a good brand with individual reflectors, or two 175w metal halide would allow you to keep just about everything.

Will a power compact 48" 4x65w work on a 90 gal reef? It's temporary until I can afford a halide.
