Reef tank stock list

What is a good reef tank stock list?
What will do best in a reef tank, that will not kill off the corals? Any suggestions to what kind of fish I could invest in?
I have a 55 gallon tank..thanks before hand.

so many options...do you know what kind of fish you would like in particular and what inverts you plan to keep (cause some fish are coral safe but not invert safe)
i would keep a community tank with alot of different inhabitants
-like clowns with an anemone
-an active fish like a wrasse
-gobies or blennys for perching fish
there are so many options...

I have a clown fish right now but just one.
I like the dwarf lionfish but I know they aren't reef safe. There are TOO many options lol

this is my (future) stocklist:
-my clown with his anemone (that i have now)
-a pygmy angel
-a McCosker's Wrasse
-a flame hawk
-and one green and one yellow clown gobies
theres alot of color in mine and all the fish are differnt...wrasse is active, hawkfish is very personable, clown and anemone relationship, the angel cause its cool lol, and the gobies cause they perch on SPS and other corals.
there are alot of options out there lol...i know what you mean

Keep em coming so I can get an idea of what I wanna get..anybody refer cardinals or pajama cardinals?

we are new to this too.. we have a bengai cardinal.. hes pretty cool with i think he looks cooler than the pyjama cardinal.. just in my opinion.. lol
someone also suggested for me a flame angel.. they are really pretty..may or may not nip at reefs
