Reef tanks on the move

I'm a week away from moving and I don't know how I should move the tanks without messing them all up. I don't want to instigating a cycle or anything so has anyone done this before know what I should expect? Tips? Anything useful really?
Here's what I've got:
55 reef with 95-100 lbs lr, 2 Brains, 1 Green Carpet, 1 Pulsing Xzena, 15-20 small frags from a Buble Anemone and some leathers Leathers w/ frags.
25 Fish Only with 30-40 lbs lr, Porky fish and a Damndamsel.
I also have an empty 40 gal. that I'm moving the reef into so the Puffer has the bigger tank. Could I set that one up and seed it with the rock and sand from my other tanks and have it cycled in a weeks time? Or is that just not possible...........

i just did a big move/upgrade and pretty much did it exactly like that site said with two major differences. I used as much old water as possible and as little new water as possible, not so much for it being "alive" but more so because the salinity/alk/ca++/ect would all be the same for my corals/fish/inverts. I figured the move would be stressful enough and keeping at least the water the same would be best.
My other difference was that i used brand new sand. Partly because i had CC before, but i didnt want to run the risk of having a huge die-off of "live sand" bacteria, when the new tank was setup.
For the record...I had absolutely NO problems and nothing died or cycled!!!

im glad it worked out for you when i did my move i was just switching tanks in the same house. i was going from a 55 to a 90rr. my rock was out of the water mabye 1o min and it died off when it was back in the tank cause a spike and i lost everything, kinda sucked but now thats why ill sell my livestock then buy new with the new tank since i work at the lfs and get a 50% discount

How can I keep the coraline on the glass from turning white and dyeing off during the move? My rocks and stuff will be kept in 5 gal buckets with tank water so I shouldn't have too much of a problem with die-off. How long do you guy's think it'll take to cycle that 40 gal if I seed it with stuff from my 55?
Oh yea, I'm moving about 20 minutes from my current location.
