Reef?

Hello, next question what exactly is a reef tank?
can i keep inverts and lobsters and anomes in a fish only tank or is this what a reef tank is? What added equipment do you need? Special light???

Basically in a reef you have LR(which you can have in a fish only) and you have corals. Corals do need a special type of lighting....PC, T-5 or MH.
If you looking to go reef ive heard a lot of good things about T-5 lighting and I love my MH lighting.

Anemones require t5 or mh as well.

I have heard of a lot of people being successful keeping anemones under PC lighting. Your water must be pristine though, keep that in mind.

correct, i have a monster BTA under 260w pc, but it also is at the top of my rocks
