I believe they deserve another look....since upgrading to MH's the squamosa has drasticly improved in coloration and the derasa was added shortly after the MH's....both are doing great!!!

Kip,
Yeah, baby blue tips. It doesn't show up real well in the picture. Its going to take time for this puppy to get where it should beI hope it to be. At the base of the coral where it encrusts, the edges are bright blue. I'm just hoping this will color up like just the the other one I had. That sucker was just bright pink and bright blue.

misty927 its good to see another austinite on the board. I do most of my shopping at Aquatek. Actually, without them and this board for guidence. I have no idea what my tank would look like today. I have been to Austin Aquariums maybe two or three times. The anly purchase I have made there where a couple of ricordia and some cyclopeez. Which side of austin are you in? i am actualy in Round Rock.

Hi Misty,
I go to Austin Aquariums. I actually bought my 75 RR from Mike over there.

Yay, more Austin people...great! I'm actually Central Austin. I usually go to Aquatek also...but sometimes they're a little overpriced, especially equipment. Plus, their corals haven't been the greatest recently, from what I've noticed? But they have a great selection of inverts. I've been checking into Austin Aquariums for the Oceanic 90 gallon Reef Ready I'm looking to buy...which they quoted me $380, I think. But I found this new place off of 183 (very small, just opened 4 months ago) called RiverCity Aquariums, I believe. The owner there quoted me $320...so I'm think I'm going to buy from there! The owner, Carlos, is a young guy who seems to be just starting out. They don't have saltwater yet (he said they were going to start selling a small amount soon) mostly cichlids and other freshwater. I just have to wait and sell the 75 gallon tank and wet/dry (brand new with protein skimmer, pump, etc.) I have right now until I have the funds for the 90...I can't wait! Know anybody interested? I think that Aquatek has the most knowledgeable employees (and cutest too!! Not like you guys care, haha. But just in case there are any Austinettes on the board! Brian is well...whew!)...but Mike and Lucy from Austin Aquariums seem like they know their stuff too...other than that, I think they just have some younger people working there. I know there are a few other places, but I just don't like the atmosphere. Gallery of Pets is ok...just depends. I haven't been to AquaDome off of Ben White in a while, so I don't know. Oh yeah...Pet Connection in Cedar Park (owner is nice, but kinda out to get ya nice...so I dunno.) Are there any other places, besides?? Great to meet you guys, by the way! I'm just a college girl, so it's hard to meet people in Austin with the same interests as mine, at least saltwater, that is! Do you guys ever trade frags?? :)

Thats a good price for the 90RR thats what I paid for my 75RR. I also go to Aqatek and Aquadome. The 2 guys at Aquadome definitely know their stuff as well.
I live south in the Oak Hill area. I don't have any corals yet, hopefully in about a month I will. I also plan to get a digital camera very soon, so I can post some pics. Good luck with your tank
:D

First, full tank shot.
I know someone is bound to ask about the breeding net in the corner, so I should just answer that now. My 2 cleaner shrimo were bought pregnant, so I am trying to raise some of the fry.

7. Last one: My two flame scallops. Finally found a good shady spot in the front of the tank so they won't swim away again.

LOL...all my nieces & nephews...and all the neighborhood kids love Nemo & Dory....truth is they were part of my aquarium long before Nemo & Dory became famous.
Great additions ya'all....part of the joy of this hobby is sharing what we keep with fellow hobbyists....thanks for contributing.

Hmm, I couldn't get to take pics over the week end, so I cleaned my glass last night and took some pics today.:D These tanks look great, BTW. I hope my frags grow up to look half as good.
Here's the left side of the 90.
