reefnut- the description says you have a coral banded shrimp... do you still have him? how big and how is he doing in the 6? is it a gold cbs?

He is not a Gold CBS... He is doing ok. I have to feed him regularly because there is not a lot of foraging real-estate. I would say his body is about 2" not counting the claws.

Sure, I'll take a pic of the inside tonight. Here is a shot of the back before I changed out the light. Radio shack or any computer store usually carries these types of fans. You will probable need one to reduce the heat and increase the air circulation.

thank you, yes i am going to go get some of those small fans, i am having a heat problem, it gets up to 85 when the light is on in mine. im not sure if the heater is even coming on...

hey reef nut that is a great looking tank. Do you purchase all your corals from LFS or online dealers? I like your red schrooms a lot, would like to get some. If you purchased online can you send me your link.

Thanks black99l, everything in this tank was purchased at a LFS.
brandon, the light is 15"L x 4"W x 2-1/2"H. For a 3g I think something like Illegal Link would work for you. It's a 13w PC 8"L x 3 1/2"W x 2"H.

will this be enough if i put one pushing and one pulling in the same places you put your fans on your eclipse?

One would be sufficient. I like mine blowing outward but opinions very. Also I drilled two 1/4" holes in the front side of the hood. This allows air to freely move in, across the water and out the fan. Seems to be working nicely.
The fan at radio shack would be fine. Make sure the 1.57"×1.57" will fit. You will also need a 12VDC power converter for the fan. I found an old converter laying around the house and used it. If not, all kinds of places sell them. I seen a verity at Wal-Mart.

ya i went looking today, i didnt even think about the converter until i was at the store. i am going to see if i can find one around my work or maybe even some old computer fans somewhere...prob. wont find much but its worth looking for.
