Refractometer

thinking about getting one. how are they? i have only used hydrometers, which are crap. just looking to get some info.

I found mine floating in the "Bay of e" for about $30. Once you get one, you'll wonder how you lived without it. I used to dip that silly swing arm piece of plastic 4 or 5 times to make sure I didn't have a bunch of bubbles attached. Now, a couple squeezes to get a good sample, and three drops later, I get a much more accurate reading.
