So what do you do once the frag has outgrown the plug/disc/mount it was growing on? How do you remove it saftely without damaging the polyps?
Start out right. Take your new frag plug, smear superglue gel onto the suface, dip it in sand/aragonite, any color you wish, drop it into some water and let it setup.
Glue your new zoa frag onto it and once it has outgrown the plug/mount/disc, take a scalpel or other like instrument and scrape off the sand/aragonite that the polyps have grown over with the undamaged polyps attatched and glue them to another fresh disc/mount/plug.

My yellow zoas spread big time on a giant lr, and I'd like to frag a pc for a friend. I went in with a zator knife to try to scrape out the pc, but they grow so tight on the rock that I pretty much kill the polyps instantly once the razzor hits the base of the polyps. If you know a good way to remove them, please help, thanks.
