Refug substraight?

I have seen live sand and reef substraight mixtures, which is sand and shells mixed together. I have access to the beach so I was wondering any advantage to buying live sand and going to the beach and collecting a bucket of the crushed and small shells that wash up on shore and mixing the two before putting them in my Refug

I would think anything that washes up on the shore line would not be good for your tank.If you were able to get on a boat and go further out then collect some sand would probably be safer.There is always the risk of oil and other contaminants near the shore line from boats,jet skis,wave runners,etc.

Shelve Wade, Haslem and Marion, for next year,, Get the #1 or 2 pick Hopefully a good BIG MAN, ALA Dwight Howard or something along those lines, Develop our young players, Like, Alexander Johnson, Dequan Cook and Joel Anthony, Keep up with Dorrel Wright.. Get rid of dead weight like Ricky Davis and Jason Williams.. we will win 40-50 games next year Mark my words!!....
