That looks GREAT...I would suggest you DO increase the supply line to at least a 1/2 inch line though. You couldn't possibly be getting very much more than 10 or 15 gph through that 1/4 inch line. But other than that,it is a good,FOOLPROOF setup....GOOD JOB!!!!!

Very nice... functional and well thought out...I run a 35 gal gravity return refugium on my 55 that runs around 75 GPH or so and works close to the same as yours.....well done!!!!!

I have four or five diferent kinds of algae in mine.I don't think it really matters what kind of algae you use, just that there is alot of it.My refugium is so full, you can't see an inch into it.Any time I go to a store that has some thing diferent,I get a handfull.I also have live sand and about 10-15lbs of rubble rock(small broken pieces of live rock) in there....

I wish I could find some diffrent kinds. It took m a week just to find what I have. I purchased some live rock that has algae that look like little green peas. would this be good to rip off and throw in my refugium?

Seabass, do the "green peas" look like like lil' shiny glass beads?? If so I once asked about them and was told that they are a type of algae that is "not" wanted in your tank. If you pop em they spread really quick.
I maybe wrong.

He may also be describing GRAPE Calupra. Are the little "peas" connected to a vine???Like a bunch of grapes,or are they just little round balls sitting on the rock???If they are the later,it is BUBBLE algae,,,and they ARE bad for your tank..They will quickly spread and take over...But if they are the Grape colupra,Then by all means put it in the refugium.....
