I added a 10 gallon refugium under my tank next to the sump 3 days ago. Now I am getting a green algae just starting to appear on some of the rocks in my main tank. Is this a problem? If so what should I do?
My main tank has been up and running for 3 1/2 months. 75 gallon.
nitrates are about 20. They are usually between 10-20 and I can not get them any lower. I am doing a 20 gal. water change tomorrow and that will lower them to about 10 but they usually come back up. I was hoping that the refugium would help with the nitrates.
