refugium or skimmer

i am currently keeping sps, lps, and softies. i hv a prizm skimmer pro running. iwas wondering if its a good idea to get rid of the skimmer and replace it a hang-on refugium. i just dont see any benefits of a skimmer if i am changing my water every week. i also dont run a sump. thanx!

Defiantely both, you will see the amount of gunk your skimmer will pull out regardless of your constant water changes and fuge.
