I have a question I have a new 29 gallon tank still cycling. How much money would it cost me to set up a 10 gallon refugium.. I already have the tank and a florescent hood. Also, what all would I need to buy in order to have a good setup. thanks alot..

I just set one up a week and 1/2 ago. You have the tank and the light so what I bought other than that is: A CPR 50 overflow box ($80), Rio 2100 pump($50),15lbs of live sand and 5 lbs of live rock rubble($50), Tank divider($10), assorted hoses and clamps($15) Some Colerpa marine algae( $5), and of course some RO/DI salt water - 7 gallons. Be ready t add lots more fresh top-off water after adding a refugium. My evaporation has doubled daily!

Live rock, sand and some-type of macro algae see to be the common inhabitants of a refugium, that's what I have... (see my signature)
P.S.
From what I understand you need at least 5-6 inches to have a properly working DSB. Though I'd say something now while your tank is still cycling and maybe you could add some more sand...
