Well, Lets just say when my tank was at it's best we had a few problems. I lost power for eight days, due to a large ice storm, and lost almost everything in my tank. I've since managed to get it back together, after moving as well. The water seems to be great, all my tests are in favor of the coral, as well, I replaced my compact bulbs. I'm having a bit of trouble with some ZOO's opening up though. Any suggestions? Thanks for the help.

Well, These are my only two friends so far. The second one I like, but the first is a bit strange. What is this? A large fire worm. Is it a problem? Thanks

Good to know, but the one in the photograph is probably 6" long. Also, I'm noticing a growing number of them popping out of the rocks!!! Any suggestions on as how to rid my tank of these strange creatures? Thanks for the help,

Another Thing, My sand bed (Tank) has been running for over two years. Should I attempt to clean it, or is it OK.

I was at my LFS the other day and i saw a (bearded fire?) worm like the one in the first pic, lavendery-irridescent at least 6 inches of it poking out of the rock squaring off with a CBS in one of the tanks and I asked the guy if he knew that was in here and he told me it was a brittle star arm.
I know what a brittle star arm looks like..... that was NOT it.
Pretty cool looking, but are the rumours about them being coral eaters true? (the corals in that tank looked ok)

Definetly a Bistle worm. Nothing to worry about.. i have hundreds of them in my 10 gallon.. They won't hurt anything. Just eat the leftovers really.. You'll have a hard time trying to rid your tank of them though. There are various ways of trapping them and stuff.. but really there is no point, they won't hurt anything.
