Christmas, Thanksgiving, 4th of July, Veterans Day, Memorial Day, New Years day. I really don't see the point of any other national holidays.
The only reason for most of the holidays IMO is that that the law makers and politicians want another day off absolutely nothing to do with the real life~~!!!!!
I was at work when our maint. guy came in and said that he did not know what was going on but he could not get back to his base of operations The entire capitol area was closed off nothing in or out. it took till 1100 before we found out what was going on when people started to come in with portable TVs and started watching the news. As the first tower fell it was a giant gasp of air and them silence. (I was working in a very busy and packed restraunt at the time) as the second fell several people started to cry about what they were watching. We closed the store down for the rest of the week. Its the first time that store had EVER locked it doors since it was built in 1979 we had to have out maint. guy install locks on the doors as we closed and leftit was a 24 hour a dat 7 days a week 365 days a year store and has never been done again. It was a very sobering time and a time that I will never forget in my life time.!!!!!!!!
Its funny the things we think are very important to us mean absolutely nothing in comparison,.
