Remora AquaC Skimmer

I have one these bad boys that hang onto the back of my tank. But latley I have noticed it isnt producing as much bubbles as it use to. Im not sure if this is because i only have 3 fish, or that this skimmer is made for tanks 40-70 gallons when my tank is 28 gallons.
Any ideas? Also there is a flaw in my collection cup after i dropped it and a peice chipped off (in picture) Will this effect anything?
I still do see bubles form in the collection cup but only about once every few weeks.

It's possible the break did something to how it skims now, but have you cleaned it lately? A skimmer might not necessarily skim 100% of the time.....

Either way would affect it skimming for a bit.....When's the last time it's had a good cleaning? Any pics showing the actual break? It's possible the break is affecting the bubble formation and working it's way up to and through the neck of the skimmer.

I have not gave the skimmer a good cleaning in a very long time. But i clean the collection cup very often.
And here is a pic of the break.

HMMM....I bet you didn't keep the piece....I would have said glue it back on....I think those sides keep that section sealed...except for the tube part that the bubbles are supposed to go up
You might want to order a new cup

i looked on line and a new cup is about $30. If I cant think of a "hick" way of fixing the break then i may just have to order a new one.

Exactly.
That piece keeps the stuff going up the tube. Now it goes around the tube and not into the collection cup. Jimmy rig something onto the cup or get a new one.

Agree the broken piece probably will affect the skimmer from operating correctly.....I'd either try to glue the piece back in place if still available or order a new collection cup.
