removing ick from LR

I have or had an ich problem in my 55. I have about 50lbs of LR in there. How can i treat this LR so that i can place it in another tank?

Leave the rocks in a fishless tank for a month. In the absense of fish hosts, the parasite will die off.

should the salt level be a particular level?

Normal level. Don't change the salinity. In the absense of fish, ich will die in the tank.
