the 125gal tank I got has one side painted black on the outside of the tank. What is the best way to strip it off? I want to view it from all sides.
Thanks

If the tank is GLASS you can use a razor blade or paint thinner. If using thinner, make sure not to get any inside the tank. And clean it five times more than you think is good enough when done. And petrolium,or chemical residue in the tank will cause problems down the road...

There is a good organic paint remove they sell sell at Home depot i don't remember the name but I used it on my hot rod and i worked good, it will be safer than a regular stripper but still wash the tank well after use, Theres also an paint company called eastwood they might have it.

why not try the razor blade first? that should work fine since the tank is glass. all the thinners will be a waste of time. ;)

Thanks for the suggestions. If and when I get my tank I will try it and let you know. It is a display tank that is the front wall of the store. I payed for it 18 months ago, They keep telling me that it will be a few more months ... Yea right. But eventually it will happen because they did remodel and got rid of all the other fish supplies and tanks.
