We're going to the Aquarium of the Pacific today and I've been sorting through pics this morning. These are some of my older pics I got from there. As I run across pics that aren't of my fish.... I'm gonna throw them up here. :)
My favs are the jellies.

This big ole guy was cool.

Renee, Those pics are georgous, as usual!
The jellys are so awesome, and what was that last tank labeled?
Will the real Nemo and Dori, please stand up?

I'm not sure what they were calling it. It's not there now. It was a huge cylinder and I'm sure just a passing promotional display.
Natural. No. Crowd pleaser and a money maker. Yes.
I'm going to take a lot of the coldwater tanks because that is going to be one of our next projects. Their non-photosynthetic displays are awesome and I'm hoping, with the new camera, I'll be able to capture some of that.

You bettcha!
That file fish looks photoshopped into the picture. Not accusing you of doing it, it just looks that way to me.

I swear there seemed to be way more curved acrylic this time. Alot of the displays were shifted. Like where are the flashlight fish, the anglers, all the HUGE lions and the scorps. All my jelly displays are shifted.... none for the better.
I think my 2 fav cold water fish were gone, as well.
And they freaking ID'd their seahorses wrong.
Oh Spanko, the tang/clown display was still kind of there... thinned out and no longer in a column. The name was something about it being unnatural. I'm wondering if it indeed did come out around the Dory/Nemo time. I'll do some date matching and see.

That must have driven you mad.

You have no idea.
So, any speculation as to what has happened to their stock? Do they give some away to other aquariums if they can't afford to support them? There wasn't anything new brought in.... just a whole lot missing.

Did they label these anemone Renee? Are they Beaded Anemone Tealia coriacea? I especially like the green ones.
