researching eshopps overflow

I'm still doing research on a sump/refuge. A couple times lately we have lost our electricity for about 15 minutes. If I was using the eshopps overflow and wasn't home when the power came back on would my DT flood from my return pump coming back on or would the overflow box start again when the return pump came back on?

It will maintain suction and resume as normal. Make sure your pump is strong enough to keep up with the drain or you will start to notice air bubbles in the u tube that get bigger and bigger. Your drain will eventually quit causing a flood.

The Eshopps is a great overflow box and I run it on 3 tanks with no problems. My power goes off about twice daily in the summer and they always start back siphoning and everything always levels back out. They are great overflows to have. I actually have a spare one laying around that is brand new that I want to trade for an icecap 660 ballast. It comes with 2 6' drain lines and everything.
