Residual copper

I've got some base rock w/ a little algae growth in my 55 FO. This tank was treated w/ Copper Power approx. 4 mo. ago. I wonder if I could chance using some of these rocks to throw in my new tank to speed up my cycle. I don't want to blow any future chances to keep inverts. Any opinions?

personally i would not risk it. I only base my opinion on what I have read on here for the past couple of months. I keep hearing of people saying the copper will even get into the silicone seals. i can be quite sure in saying it definately leeched into your base rock.

I second that. If you value your inverts don't even think about putting anything treated with copper into a virgin tank.....

yeah copper won't leave a tank once its in it, consider anything in contact with the copper tainted as far as inverts go.
