After a long absence, I am restarting my 55g, and who ever said this is like riding a bike is full of it My brain is spinning from trying to catch up/refresh on everything I have forgotten, but thats half the fun in this hobby right
Heres What i have so far, which isnt much
Heater, hang on filter w/ built in skimmer (temp), Coralife light ( 1-T5 10k, and 1-t5 Actinic, which i am thinking of doubling) 10# liverock to help cycle the tank, RODI/UV unit , thats about it....so far
Tank and stand
Filter
Sea Bed
Unknown Hitchiker
RODI Unit
Other Filter (Merlin +60)
The filter i would like to replace, either w/ LR only (if possible) or a better system (open to suggestions), I also have a merlin plus 60 media filter, used both together when I had FOWLR, and they worked great.
Heres the goals of the tank.
This one is going to be the Better half's, she want a clown and an anomie, after that we will stock w/ compatible other livestock.
The dilemma, I have never had a reef tank before, what else should i look into, is the lighting i have going to be suffieint for softs? Filtration suggestions, we have limited space, and would like to keep as much crap out of sight and off the tank if possible. The tank is in the very begining stages, so nows the time to make adjustments, right?
also if anyone could identify the hitchiker for me it would be appreciated.
Any comments/suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanx
PS sorry about the quality of the pix, still learning how to take pix of the tank
