Retro Fit Metal Halide Lighting for 55gl?

I personally dont recommend the Vion Z6 10000K's. Thats what I got from Hello lights, because they were on sale for 55.00 each, and they are too yellow. Maybe the Ushio or Coralife 10000k's are more white, but it is different with each manufacturer as mentioned above. Just MHO. :)

I'm agree with Mini-Reefer
I have that Vion Z6, it's just to yellow
I have 2x110 URI super actinic. I do not have much blue as I wanted.

thanks jim for the link i'll check it out, i didn't know i needed to slowly have the lights on like that,
thanks mini and krust, the Vion Z6 are off the list.
we'll go with at least 10,000K, good, now i know one thing.
What will give the blue?

I had read that a light upgrade like I did, and you're contemplating, can shock a system unless you allow an acclimation period. This is much more important for corals, but also pertains to fish. Anyway, as I said before, so far I've escaped any algea problems....
The blue light comes from the actinic bulbs.
