Return From Fuge

What do you guys use for your return if your tanks are not drilled? Do you just make something out of PVC or do you buy something pre-made?

Do you have space requirements behind your tank. If not you can buy an overflow or make one. THere are plenty of ideas floating around the net.
I've seen one where they made an overflow out of PVC pipes. This will in time be covered with purple algae too.

Overflow is not the issue. My tank is drilled at the overflow so I have 1 one going to the fuge. I was wondering what you use for the retun back into the tank.

So the tank has a drilled OF, but no drilled returns?
Is the tank filled yet? If not have a couple returns drilled in it. Then make the return piping out of pvc. If your not getting it drilled. Then bring the line up over the top of the tank and then back down into it. Drill a small hole in the piping just below the water line, inside the tank. For a syphon break. VERY important, that little hole is.......

Yea, its a 125 and only has 1 hole drilled. The guy I bought it from used it to breed fresh water angle fish. I guess I could have it drilled. What do you think is better, drilling a return hole on the bottom or higher on the side?

You wont be able to have the bottom panel drilled. Choose the upper portiion of the back panel.. You might if you're gonna drill it also think about drilling for a closed loop. You'l be glad you did. Id pull from the center back panel for the CL. Then return two lines with a SCWD(squid) lower in the tank about 1/4 to 1/3 of the way in on the back panel. If it were me. Where is the OF located? The center?
Red= Cl returns
Blue= CL supply
Green = Fuge returns
