Return lines? Flex or PVC

Well, I got the durso mod inplace and it works great. Now my problem is I think I went too far with water flow. I am using two mag 9.5's and I think I may need to replace one with maybe a mag 7.
I am waiting for some modular pipe that I ordered to come in so I can make a spray bar on each side, so I will wait until that before I decide. Right now I am only running one of the pumps.
Any opinions?

Definately wait to get the spraybar in place.
The modular piping and fittings will induce some backpressure on the pump(s) and reduce flow a little more.
If after you get the spraybar in place - you still feel you have too much flow.
1) Get the Mag7 and replace one of the Mag9.5's.
You can keep the 9.5 as a backup spare.
2) Tee off one of the 9.5's outlet ports in or near the sump.
Run a bypass back to the sump off this tee.
A ball valve in this bypass will allow you to crack open this valve, and redirect some of the 9.5's "excess" flow back to the sump.
Sort of like you're doing for the refugium side, but just dump the water back into the sump.
This will reduce flow to tank - protect the pump - and probably take care of the excess water to display.
You'll get it figured out - especially after installing the spraybar.
Good luck jond !
