return pump

I am going to be getting a 125 aga reef ready with there overflows next week. Can any body give me any advice on a return pump. It is going to be set up as a reef.

How many gallons is the overflow(s). Do you want to run the pump in the sump or inline?

I am not sure, The tank is drilled and i beleive it is 1.75 inches and a 1.5 return. I want to run the pump in the sump

I recommend Iwaki, but what ever you get get quality the best you can afford.

Does anyone use a quite one by grundfoes. My stepdad used to work at a water treatment plant they use some industrial size pumps manufacured by grundfoes. I run this one because it came with the tank.

I have an AGA 125 RR. They are 1" drains with 3/4" returns. Using a mag 12 and wide open it balances out well. If I had the space in the sump I would run two mag 7's just to have the backup.
