Returned from vacation to find..........

......purple tang and copperband butterfly dead in the freezer. My friend wrote me a note and told me about the disaster. On a good note, all my corals seemed to double in size during the week. Coraline is growing like mad, and there's these slug-like looking things crawling on the glass at night. It's amazing to see what you don't notice when you look at your tank everyday.

The fish were apparently inflicted with a sudden attack of ich. They had shown signs before I'd left and were being treated with garlic and vitamins. They went downhill pretty quick. The crappy part is that the two blue damsels survived. 2 dollar fish survive, but the 40 dollar ones didn't. Go figure.

ever think they r 2 dollers because they are hardy and can be breeded and the 40 dollar ones can't and arnt?
