Reverse Osmosis Options

Im moving into a rural area with well water and... well, not too keen on the egg smell on me or in my reef tank. Ive been living in an apartment that wouldnt allow the installation of RO systems but luckily lived about a block away from a local water company. Buying water just wont feasible at the new place so its RO or bust. Im not very familiar with RO systems so dont not know what I really need or what brands to look at. I dont have a set budget just looking for the best option for drinking water and several tanks (at least for a 90gal reef) if we decide to set them all up.

Welcome to the forum.

Good brands that you can google for: Thyphoon, Air and Ice, Apec.....

I have a 55 gal tank, and I'm having a hard time understanding why I'd want a filter that does more than 10gal a day. Most seem to do 75gal/day or more. I mean, as far as speed, I'd just store the water for top off or emergencies: why would I need to make more fresh water every day than the size of my entire system?

How many chambers should I bother with with one of these units? I'd like a 25 gal/day version at most, and pure as possible, but I don't want to be spending an extra 100$ for .02% cleaner water either.

The RO/DI unit Sabbs is talking about will be going in my new place i will be moving into in the next 2 weeks. We have both looked at the one you guys mentioned looks great for what we need. I just wanted to say Thanks for helping us and I have another question!
Where online is a good place to buy a plain jane glass tank? I want between 100-150 gallon glass tank. I have priced one that is 125g at a lfs and it is $250.00 for just the tank alone and $350.00 for a wood stand. The stand and tank with no extras is $600.00 total plus tax. Is that a good price for the tank-stand and nothing else or is there any place online I could get one cheaper? I do not need lights or anything because I allready have everything for up to a 150g tank. Any responses on this and recomendations would be appreciated!
Thanks-Smork

Not sure if you know it or not.. but you shouldnt drink the ro/di water. I thought (from the Sabbbs post) that you wanted good drinking water source too. I dunno.. I could of read it wrong.

Vamp..It has 2 seperate outlets..one for drinking water that doesn't go through the DI filter and it goes into a 3 gallon pressurized tank then from their it goes up to your faucet that it comes with. You just have to install and drill a small hole in the top of the sink for the faucet for the RO water.
Then it has an outlet that goes through the DI filter that you use for the tank.
Kinda nifty I think. Thanks...air-water-ice.....
