Reverse osmosis

Hi,
I purchased a R/O and it does a world of difference but when i check ph of the R/O water its at 9+ is that normal?,when my tap water registers 7.5
why would Iget su.ch a different reading and if a R/O removes minerals wouldnt the ph drop?

are you using a high ph test kit or a reg test kit the ro should be 6.5-7.5 ph it won't make it go up

on another forum someone said to take a straw and blow into it the Co2 will bring the ph down,going to try and see waht happens.
