Ribbon eel in a reef?

well thats that I am getting one as soon as I eel proof my tank. How do you keep you tank at a normall level with the top coverd?

yes they change colors in captivity, if they live long enough. the yellow becomes blue. you can not keep them in a "normal" open top tank, as they WILL jump to freedom. they also need lots of protected closed caves/ tunnels. you most likely can achieve that with a small network of PVC piping, as just a "lot" of LR doesnt cut it with these guys usually.

i just have plexi (sp?) glass over the top

sick, cause i got him when he was basically full grown and i have had him for about two months. im so excited because i always wanted an large angel to watch there color change but now since i cant have one i get to watch my eel do a color change

Another eel, though pricey, that would be an even better reef inhabitant and easier to care for would be the golden dwarf moray.

price is always a problem I can cover the top but it will be glass. So how do I cool the water down? With out buying a chiller
