hello, had anyone had any success keeping ribbon eels, b/c they are stunning creatures, but I know that they are extremely hard to get to feed, even on live food.

I have heard many different things with them. Sometimes they are hard and sometimes they are not. Yes they can be difficult to feed at times. Make sure you have a sealed top. They will escape in the smallest of holes!

I was barely able to get my whitelip moray to eat, so I'm alittle hesitant, but they are beautiful, and for sale at **please do not post competitor sites**, but i think i'll pass. LOL

someone at reefland.com actually successfully kept a blue ribbon for quite some time, and documented it. he got the eel to eat by chasing guppies near the mouth of the eel with a feeder tong that looked like a eel, which was actually funny, and he said he eventually got it to eat frozen silversides, but it took him like 6 months

for the people who kept the BR eels: how did u get them to eat??
I quarantined mine for about 4 months in a 20g with a 1" sand bed and 1 rock the size of a softball. I didnt try to feed him till about 2 weeks after i got him. What i did was just leave a piece of silverside by the rock and walkaway. First he ignored it for a couple of hours and then he would eat it. A few days later i did the same with same results. Waited a week and this time i fed him with a long feeding stick and he took it, has ever since. On a side note, i added 5 damsels today and he quickly gobbled one up.
