I have had these frags for 8 months or so, got them from SWF.com. Why are they shaped like funnels and not lying flat? they do this more often than not. I only have 260w CF in a 90gal rr. Is it a lack of sufficient lighting?

Yes, they appear to be seeking more light. How high in the tank do you have them? Some rics. I found need a little more light.
How old are your bulbs?

bulbs are way overdue for replacement~1yr old. I am debating if I should buy odessea mh setup. 760 watts seems like a lot for my tank. Can i put 175watt bulbs where 250 watt go?

I am pretty positive that you cannot interchange the wattage on the lighting.
I have the 760w Odessea lighting on my 110. I think they are a great buy for the price. Your tank should handle these pretty well.

odessea sucks I bought that mh 760 set up It is worth it for the fixture but be prepared to buy new ballasts. The ones they give you are horrible. They flicker dont output enough to light the bulbs properly. I have had it only about 2 months and one ballast blew already. They place I bought it from wont even call me back. I replaced it with and Icecap single 250 electronic ballast. OH MY GOD You dont even know the difference until you put good next to bad. I have to buy another now so that both sides of they tank match!

the odysea mh are great once u replace the ballast and bulbs. still cheaper then any other mh/pc combo fixture. the stock ballast only put out a little more then 1/3 of the power that they are supposed to...so that sucks...but im still keeping alot of corals with the stock ballasts and phenoix bulbs. the stock ballast make the stock bulbs look yellow but if u change the ballast to something like coralvue or ice cap, the stock bulbs will be a crisp white...

By the time the oldest starts driving this will be paid for, he'll get it to drive and I will get a new one.
Then five years after that the youngest will be driving. Pretty good planniing huh? A great excuse to buy a new mini!!!

My MCS is an 05. Just took it into the shop and they gave me the MCS convertible to drive for 3 days. Now I want one. Wind in my hair.
