Ricordea Mushroom, Blue

Hello all,
Question : I have a Ricordea Mushroom, Blue and the problem is that I placed it down in an area in which I thought to be a great place for it, but now i see its gone.
So is this mushroom capable of movement and why would it take the little rock it was attached?:notsure: I dont have anything that will feed on it that i see, or do I?
Will I ever see the little thing again? Also is it dangerous to fish? I never seen how big they can get.
Help me out,
:jumping:
Thanks :D

Where was it attached? How big was the 'little rock' it was attached to, and was it placed on a larger piece of rock? If so how was it anchored (ie putty or glue, etc.) or was it just placed there? Did the current blow it under a rock some where?

Good questions,
It was attached to about an 1 inch of live rock in which I placed on my display rock (which is like a bed)
It also was in a low water current area. I looked around for it didnt see anything. Could have fell in a small whole on the rock, but if thats the case can it get out by its self?:nervous:
Can it move?

chances are a pushy hermit knocked it over behind other rocks.
if you see it again or not is up to you. if you want it bad enough start pulling apart your reef. personlay i would call it a loss
unless you paid alot for it.
i said this before but if you look behind my rocks its like a shroom forest. there are shrooms, leathers, polyps, lol all kinds of stuff back there. oddly enough they seem to be growing just fine

I am thinking that is what might have happened, pushy crabs.
I was thinking about moving things about but i guess your right
not worth upsetting the others :nope: But then again its killing me for it was cool looking and new:jumping:
:jumping:
I hope it shows up in a place i can see it. :)
thank you

Yumas, ricordia, and a lot of other corals can move on their own. It may have wanted more light or current or could have been moved by something else. I lost a tangerine colored yuma about a month ago but don't want to risk moving over 200lbs of LR just to find it. If you don't have that much LR I would carefully look for it and then use super glue gel to attach the small rock it is attached on to a larger piece of LR. Don't glue it in the tank but take it out glue it and let it dry a few minutes, the ricordia will be fine. Make sure you use gel though.

:happyfish Hey everyone I found it :happyfish
it was under the Live rock bed
I couldn't help myself
knowing it could be dying and I did nothing about it, so I jumped in and looked about in the area last seen. Lucky I did for it seem to be very hungry. Little green spout was wide open, so I moved it to a better place and fed it. This morning it looked ok. If it moves now its on its own
:jumping: Thanks again all :jumping:

So happy you found it! A friend told me a while back he kept missing some stuff, and when he was doing an annual major once over through the tank, he found a whole colony of shrooms growing great!
Also, Zyrus, I would like to award you the most creative usage of smilies ever hehe:cheer:

small meaty in my tank.
i take a long pair of tweezers and touch the food to its mouth.
in a few seconds it curls up into a bubble looking thing and when it opens the food is gone. i also do this with my large hairy shrooms. those things wrap around food REALLY fast. I fed one a entire half of a silverside before
