I have a Q about these guys to. I got in some orange rics today. With them there were 2 other rics that were not orange.
They are kinda transparent brown with a greenish hue to them. Any idea what they might be?

If they are ricordeas, they are identified by type (florida or yuma) and color.
Ricordea florida has no tentacles on the mouth and randomly placed tentacles on the body.
Ricordea yuma has tentacles on/around the mouth and somewhat symmetrical tentacle placement on the body...typically lines leading from the mouth to the edges of the body.
This is an example of ricordea florida...

Its definitely the florida but it has the coloration of both the yuma and the florida. Its pinkish like the yuma with a tint of green overtop of that like the florida.
Although oddly enough its mouth color is more like the yuma. I added them to my tank and shortly after they really opened up wide and their mouths were all opened up. Is that a good or bad sign? they had been shipped so I guess they might have been hungry.
I added a drop of selcon to the water and some liquid minerals. Which made all my corals start to pop and come out immensely.

Expanding is a good sign. If they expelled all their water and shriveled up, that would be a bad sign. If they continuously reach up, you may want to consider moving them so they have better light. If they consistently do not expand properly, they may have too much light. By consistently, I mean over several weeks, not a day or two. Mine don't react well to being stung, so keep them well away from corals with sweepers...like hammers, torches, frogspawn, etc.

Right now they are open with mouths outstretched and open pretty wide. I can even see patterns inside the mouth like ridges or something

should these guys have their mouths open daily? they are not limp but outstretched like they are feeding but they do it most of the day every day.
