Is 17" away from 10,000k bulbs too far for a green ricordia?....I have had one now for 2 weeks, and it hasn't done anything. I have another one in a diff. tank that is about 6" from light and it just looks better....Just wondering if I need to move it up...or just leave it alone.

10,000k is merely the kelvin rating and doesn't tell us much. What kind of lights and how much wattage do you have?
Most mushroom corals are pretty light-adjustable, but ricordea will appreciate a bit more than most others.

The coralife compact fluorescent...4-96watts for a total of 384....I am currently shopping for MH's (I think) I want to be able to keep an anemone. BUT this purchase will not occur until after Christmas since it seems I will be looking at $1000 for my size tank...need 72" long fixture, and my tank is 30" deep.

Mine died in that tank...its a 225g and 384watts of light is not enough for anything but fish in that size tank....what size tank do you have, and what type of lighting?
