Rics Anyone?

You know what is really werid. I needed to take down my canopy today so I could do some tank cleaning. When I do this, I always put a strip of NO light up. This light actually makes my rics look awesome! [So I took these pics.] Whereas my rather expensive VHOs tends to make them looked washed out. Now what's up with that???
The NO isn't an actinic.

Beth,I have the same ricodeas,in color,as yours,and my vhos do the same thing.I,on the other hand have a new halide/actinic setup coming this week too.I can't wait to see how they look under that.I am also excited because thay have only been in the tank for a few days and one of the two has three mouths now.So....maybe it will split soon.Here's a pic of my new ones under 440w vhos.

My LFS here in Atlanta sells rics for $8 a polyp cherry picked. I went in the other day and picked up a green ric with three mouths that was about 2.5"x1" and also and blue one with red undertone (2" round). I thought it was an awesome deal but maybe they are just common colors.

Will do!I was kinda upset with the fact they were not as colorful as the photo from the place I got them.They were bright orange,and the ones I got were from the actual photo.

You can frag them, but they will also split on thier own. I have already seen some spliting on the ones I recently got.
And where is kickster??? I thought for sure, he'd be in here showing off.....:D

Nice! We have a pair of Floridas for $40, they look just like Beth's #2 pic. Good deal! I think I'm gonna get em!
