Rid ich is not very effective. I have used it before. What have you added that brought ich in?

When I had my oscar several years ago he got ick all the time. They came in on his feeder fish.
I used something in a blue bottle that actually dyed the water blue. Not sure what it was called. Anyway, after 3 days of following the directions ick was all gone!

I used the same stuff, and the silicone was blue for a few months. I honestly don't remember how well it worked.

Right, my silicone blued as well. Actually if kinda stayed blue for awhile, like I said, he caught it several times.

Possible Quick Cure was used.
Like is saltwater tanks, any disease in a freshwater tank should not just be treated, but assessed. It depends on the type of fish, etc. Eg there is no need to feed live food to oscars, and it does present a disease source. Water quality, too, is a major concern. What are the parameters? How old is the tank?
The same questions pertain to freshwater systems
Is this a planted tank?
Raising temperature, and adding aquarium salt (or even some of your salt mix) can help in freshwater ick. But overall you will also want to address a possible stress in the tank.

Ich is in your tank and probably has been. Remove the plants into a bucket while you treat and use carbon when you are done.
