I googled it and it said it was a false rumor.He is in the hospital for a lung problem but say he should make a full recovery.

OMG, he goes to the hospital, and the media off's the guy!!

I will put my trust in FOX news.
As well as the chicago sun times, Time Magazine, Reuters news service, AP etc.
Go back and look at the dates of the stories claiming it was a rumor

I am shocked to read this, I too just checked cnn and it is their headline. He was very funny, what a shame

Yeah I think that rumor was from years ago when he went into the hospital. I remember him making jokes about the media saying he was dead.
Unfortunatly, it's true this time R.I.P.

I read it this morning on the yahoo news bulletin. couldn't believe it. damn shame.

I was just searching about this and i found alot of sites that said it was rumor but on cnn they reported it and also on yahoo news, so who knows?

If you check the dates on the rumor stories they were from like August 4th

One of the funniest comedians of our time. He also helped pave the way for a lot of black performers that would have previously not been allowed. Kings of Comedy is prolly still one of my favorite DVD's. This really breaks my heart.

It's a strange story. I was riding around on Monday and they said on the radio that he was dead of pneumonia. then, they came back and said that was wrong, that he was in the hospital and was "doing great". now, 5 days later, he's dead. it's all very strange.
