well, went to Indianapolis to Premium Aquatics (thanks for the referance PEZenfuego) to get me some liverock so far, I have found a starfish in the rocks that I got, and to my surprise, a big red crab which I had no clue about till after my finger was right next to his hiding place. But after some investigation, I figured out he was dead, no movement whatsoever, not even around the mouth..... Stinks too, he is about the size of about my big toe, maybe a bit smaller but not by much... It would have been great to get a better look at him to see what kind he was...

never thought about that, but it sure had a lot of color. so far, other than the starfish (which I think may be a Chocolate Chip Starfish, is the only hitch hikers that I have seen so far, which kinda makes me sad, but then again, I am not, because less headaches! But even if it was a molt, it would have been really cool to get something like that in my live rock, which was at an awesome price, but, it seems like it is as lively as the rock that I got from my LFS. It is covered in stuff that looks like red gorgonian, but its not.

We are a couple of hours from Premium Aquatics and have been thinking of a road trip. We don't need much live rock but we are interested in some fish and corals. I have heard that all of their stock is hand caught (no poisons). Have you heard that? Do you think it is worth the drive?

When I went up there, their live rock was slim pickin' and their live stock was decent, had a bit to chose from, I heard there was a really nice place in Terra Haute that has a really really nice selection, its called Inland Aquatics.

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately Terre Haute is a bit far for fish unless we happen to be there for some other reason. I will definately keep it in mind. We have friends in Indy and are occasionally there for other reasons so we may swing by Premium Aquatics. Since it doesn't sound super fabulous, we probably won't make a trip just for that. We actually have a couple of decent places here so we are lucky. We also have a local guy that sells corals online--he has great stuff and is fairly inexpensive, if your ever in NE Indiana, you should look him up---you could PM me if you ever want his web site info.
