well, i got a red mithrax crab with my live rock 1.5 years ago, and he was a pretty big crab--i had to put him in the sump when he broke skin on me.
i'm going to miss him, but hopefully by the morning he'll have fed my clean up crew.

i'm thinking old age. he was pretty big when i first got him, and he's grown since. he hasn't molted in a while, so i don't know if that's a cause.
