RO cost??

I understand all RO units are different,but what can the AVERAGE RO unit be expected to waste in water? Let me put it another way... How many gallons of water will it cost me for 1 gallon of RO ?? And where does the bad water go?? Money down the drain???

avrage is 2 gallans wasted for every 1, and yes it goes down the drain

some people set it up so waste can be used in washing clothes, or run the waste line out into the garden or the grass in the summer. store some for indoor plants. it really does not need to be wasted if that is a concern of yours.
Personally mine goes down the drain.

mine feeds a second membrane and the waist from that goes to the fw tank
