"Hey Guys"
I have purchase my Kent Marine Maxxima Hi-S 50gpd RO/DI in October '02. My systems filtering has almost come to a drip now as compared to a nice flow when originally purchased. Is this normal ? Has anyone with the simular equipment experiencing this problem ? I didnt purchase the flush kit when I originally brought the RO/DI unit. I just got one the other day. The instructions say that the Membrane's life should be 3-5 yrs. Is is possible mine is shot this soon ?

I have the same unit and did the same as you. Held off on the flush kit, then in about 6 months the units output fell off to almost nothing. Tried to change all of the other components but it did not help. Had to purchased another membrane along with the flush kit. Its been about 3 months now without any noticeable drop off so far. Now I make sure I flush it with each use.
Hey you from Brooklyn, I grew up in Marine Park.

Hey ....
Thanks for the info. yeah I'am born and raised a Brooklyn-ite. Now living on Long Island. So, you think I should order the Membrane ?? I have purchased the flush kit which I received this week.. Proably to late, being that I had my unit since Oct. Gheesh.... the "Membrane" cost $100. bucks !!

My experience was once the pores in the membrane clog its too late to save it. Only one of the expensive lessons I have learned in this hobby
