RO/DI question for saltwater

i have read that nothing needs to be added to ro/di water. i know salt if doing water change but for top off should i add something to bring up the ph in the water like buffer? ro/di water has no ph at all so wouldnt that not be good or am i wrong?

No, don't add a buffer. The low PH of the RO/DI water will not bring down the tank's PH enough to worry. Say if you're adding one gallon of top off water to a 55g tank the effect will be minimal.
Now kalk mix can be added to the top off water to help maintain the tank's alkalinity and calcium but that's a different subject.
